Rocky View County Procurement Opportunities
Rocky View County invites vendors to respond to advertised procurement opportunities through the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC). The County issues RFPs, RFQs, and tenders for goods, services, and construction through an open competition process. Registration as a vendor on APC is free. Vendors should check APC regularly for open opportunities. Contact the County Procurement team for more information.
Prime Contractor Prequalification — 2026-2029 Gravel Program
Rocky View County is seeking prime contractor prequalification for its 2026-2029 Gravel Program. Interested contractors with the capacity to supply and haul gravel for County road maintenance and construction are invited to submit prequalification packages through the Alberta Purchasing Connection.
FCSS Funding — Family and Community Support Services
Rocky View County's FCSS program provides funding to support the preventive social needs of area residents. General FCSS Funding (Small, under $10,000) is available for non-profit organizations delivering preventive social services. The Recreation Governance Committee has approved $1,397,100 in community funding to support local non-profit organizations.
ALUS Program — Agricultural Ecological Funding
The Alternative Land Use Services (ALUS) program is a Rocky View County delivered initiative in partnership with ALUS Canada. Farmers and ranchers can receive funding to make improvements to environmentally-sensitive, marginal or inefficient farm land. Eligible projects include restoring wetlands, reforesting, planting windbreaks, installing riparian buffers, creating pollinator habitat, and establishing other ecologically-beneficial projects. Applications accepted on a continual basis throughout the year.
Agri-Environmental Incentive Program
An incentive program created by Rocky View County Agricultural Services, available to all Rocky View County residents who are bona fide farmers. Provides funding to offset the cost of environmentally beneficial projects including pasture sprayer construction (up to $500), pasture sprayer rental (up to $500), water well decommissioning (up to $2,000), and range/riparian health assessments (up to $1,000). Maximum $2,000 per farm. First-come, first-served while funding is available. Projects must begin on or after January 1 and be completed by December 31.
Watershed Resiliency and Restoration Program
A Government of Alberta grant program providing funding to third parties for projects that restore, enhance, and create wetland and riparian areas to improve watershed health. Focus areas include restoration of degraded wetlands and riparian areas, conservation of critical wetlands, increased stewardship awareness, and supporting data and research. Open to eligible organizations and landowners in priority watersheds.
Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP)
A five-year (2023-2028), $3.5-billion federal-provincial-territorial investment to strengthen competitiveness, innovation, and resiliency of the agriculture, agri-food, and agri-based products sector. In Alberta, the program represents a $508 million cost-shared investment over five years towards strategic programs and services for the agriculture and agri-food industry. Multiple program streams available for producers, processors, and researchers.
Alberta Innovation Employment Grant
A Government of Alberta grant encouraging economic growth by supporting small and medium-sized businesses that invest in research and development. Provides a grant worth up to 20% of qualifying R&D expenditures. Available to organizations of any size conducting eligible R&D activities in Alberta.
Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant
A Government of Alberta program providing funding to help cover employee training costs. Provides 50% of costs up to $5,000 for an existing employee, or 75% of costs up to $10,000 for unemployed Albertans. Designed to help businesses upskill their workforce and help unemployed Albertans gain new qualifications.
Alberta Manufacturing Productivity Grant
A Government of Alberta program providing up to $30,000 in matching funding to support small and medium-sized manufacturers across any sector looking to improve productivity and competitiveness. Helps offset the cost of adopting new technologies, processes, or equipment that enhance manufacturing capabilities.
